Key Technical Elements of common models:
Power Matching:
The power and rotational speed of the diesel engine need to match the performance parameters of the water pump to ensure that the diesel engine can provide sufficient power for the water pump while avoiding affecting the working efficiency and service life of the water pump due to excessive or insufficient power. For example, when choosing a diesel engine, it is necessary to calculate and select the type based on parameters such as the outflow, lift, and rotational speed of the water pump. The first important factor is engine must be powerful, at least 1.25times of water pump shaft power. Next is rotation speed. If same speed, the diesel engine and water pump are connected in direction; if not, those two are connected by pulley or gearbox. Mostly the pumps with heavy outflow are running at lower speed than diesel engines; the pumps have very big pressure(head lift) with higher speed, such as 3000rpm or more, than diesel engines.
The selection and installation of the coupling are also very important. It needs to be able to effectively transmit the power of the diesel engine while reducing the generation of vibration and noise. Most important standard is concentric and same level.
Pump Body Design:
The structural design of the pump body needs to consider factors such as hydraulic performance, water PH value, mechanical strength, and sealing performance. Using advanced CFD technology for hydraulic design can improve the efficiency of the water pump and reduce energy consumption. Impeller and shaft are also important.
The material selection of the pump body also needs to be determined based on the properties of the conveyed medium. For example, for corrosive media, corrosion-resistant materials need to be selected; for high-temperature media, high-temperature-resistant materials need to be selected. Those are basic matters must be considered.
Automatic Control Technology:
Equipped with an automatic control system, it can realize functions such as automatic start, automatic charging, automatic alarm, and automatic preheating, improving the intelligent level and operational convenience of the equipment. Even more, there are off duty function and remote CTRL by satellite signals.
The automatic control system needs to have high reliability and stability, be able to monitor and control the operating status of the equipment in real-time, and detect and handle faults in a timely manner. Those high technological developments really benefit clients much.
Heat Dissipation Technology:
A large amount of heat is generated during the operation of the diesel engine, and effective heat dissipation technology is needed to reduce the temperature and ensure the normal operation of the diesel engine. The heat dissipation system usually includes components such as radiators, fans, and coolant, and needs to be reasonably designed and selected based on the power and working environment of the diesel engine.
In high-temperature environments, the performance of the heat dissipation system is particularly important, and measures to enhance heat dissipation, such as increasing the area of the radiator and increasing the rotational speed of the fan, need to be taken.
If the diesel water pumps working in cold seasons, we should install preheating units, such as oil, fuel, coolant and so on.
