If a diesel generator set leaks oil, it will cause great harm to the machine. Most of the fuel supply systems of diesel generator sets use soft rubber hoses. During the use of the unit, the soft rubber hoses are easy to rub against the surrounding parts, and they are easy to wear and leak over time.
Method 1:
Exhaust the air in the diesel generator set oil circuit, then start the unit, and find the place where the diesel is leaking, which is the leak point.
Method 2:
Loosen the bleed screw of the diesel generator set's injection pump, and then use a hand oil pump to pump oil. If a large amount of bubbling oil is found to be discharged from the bleed screw, and the bubbles do not disappear after repeated hand pumping, it can be determined that there is a leak in the low-pressure oil circuit from the oil tank to the oil pump. The section of the pipeline should be removed, pressurized gas should be passed in and placed in water, and the place where bubbles are found is the leak point.
In addition to the problem of the diesel generator set pipeline, various gaskets at the pipeline joints will also cause leaks due to improper installation, deformation, aging and damage. Before conducting a detailed inspection of the pipeline, these nodes should be checked first.
If you still cannot find the oil leak point of the diesel generator set after the above inspection, you can check the section of hard oil pipe outside the fuel tank again. After finding the oil leak point, you can plug it. However, if the oil leak point is too large, it is recommended to replace the new oil pipe.
