When the power supply is insufficient, the diesel generator set as a power supply equipment provides us with sufficient power supply. However, the service life of the generator set is closely related to the operation and routine maintenance of the generator set.
Things to note before starting the generator set include:
1. First, read the operating procedures in detail, disconnect the AC, DC and external power supplies of the generator set, and disconnect the battery and on-site load.
2. The coolant, lubricating oil, and fuel must be checked for leaks. If the oil level is lower than the specified value, it should be replenished to the normal position.
2. Check whether the electrical circuit is loose, whether there is any debris inside the generator, and whether the battery terminal is loose.
3. Check whether the fuel supply valve and coolant shut-off valve are in the open position.
The generator set can be started only after the preparatory work before starting the diesel generator is completed and the requirements are confirmed to be met. Use the control box start key (button) switch to start the engine. Each start time should not exceed 10 seconds. If continuous start is required, it should be stopped for 2 minutes before starting again.
