The starting and stopping of diesel generator sets are divided into two forms, one is a manual test and the other is automatic switching control.
Manual test
1. Manual start of diesel generator set: After testing the alarm system to be normal, switch the control switch to the manual (MAN) position, and the diesel generator set can start automatically.
2. Stop of diesel generator set: Switch the control switch to the stop (STOP) position or press the red emergency stop button to stop the generator. In an emergency, you can directly press the emergency stop button to force the shutdown. If the red emergency stop button is pressed, it must be restored to its original position, otherwise the generator will not start.
Automatic switching control
1. Switch the control switch to automatic (AUTO), and the control switch must also be placed in the automatic position with the power automatic switching switch (ATS). When the city power stops, A·T·S will give the start signal to the generator control system, and the generator will start automatically.
2. When the control switch is switched to STOP or remains in AUTO, but the city power has been restored, the ATS will send a stop signal, and the diesel generator set will automatically stop. Note: When a diesel generator set in operation stops automatically due to a fault (overspeed, high water temperature, low oil pressure, etc.), the fault reset button must be pressed down after the fault is eliminated before restarting.
