The reasonable design and installation of the intake and exhaust systems of diesel generator sets are crucial to the service life and performance of the engine. We require that the following conditions should be met during the design and installation of diesel generator sets:
1. The air inlet and exhaust outlet of the diesel generator set must be clear so that the maximum temperature of the engine does not exceed the engine technical performance requirements;
2. An exhaust channel should be installed at the engine water tank end, and its exhaust outlet should be larger than 1.2-1.5 times the effective area of the water tank;
3. The exhaust passage opening of the diesel generator set should be protected to prevent damage to the radiator water tank. If possible, winter insulation measures should be installed;
4. The air inlet of the diesel generator set should have sufficient air flow and be in the same direction as the outlet air flow. The inlet should also have rain-proof and rodent-proof measures;
5. The wind in and out of the generator room must be smooth, the room should be bright, and there should be a maintenance space around the diesel generator set;
6. When the diesel generator set is in use, always check whether there is dust or oil on the radiator of the water tank to avoid poor cooling effect;
7. The water tank of the diesel generator set should be cleaned once a year or every 400-500 hours of continuous operation. Protective measures should be taken in places with poor environments. Regularly check and clean the water tank and intercooler for oil stains or dust, and replenish the coolant. and add anticorrosive agent for rust removal.
