Diesel engine fire pumps are systems used for independent fire water supply. They can be used for fire fighting and shared water supply systems for life. They can also be used in construction, municipal administration, industry and mining, water supply and drainage, ships, field operations and other occasions.

The characteristics of diesel engine fire pumps are summarized as follows:
1. The diesel engine fire pump adopts direct connection technology between the diesel engine and the water pump through an elastic coupling, which reduces the fault points and greatly shortens the starting time of the unit, increasing the reliability and emergency performance of the unit.
2. The diesel engine has automatic alarm protection for faults such as low oil pressure and high water temperature, so that the water pump can alarm and shut down when overspeeding.
3. The diesel engine fire pump has telemetry, telesignaling and remote control functions.
4. The battery can be automatically charged using the mains or the diesel engine charging motor to ensure the smooth starting of the unit.
5. Automatic preheating puts the diesel engine in a hot standby state to ensure emergency work.
6. The biggest difference between a diesel fire pump and an electric water pump is that it has its own independent power supply system - a battery. Therefore, the start-up and operation of a diesel fire pump can be completely separated from the mains.
7. A diesel fire pump is usually used as a backup facility. Therefore, it will only start automatically when a fire signal comes, when the electric water pump fails or when the power is cut off. When it has an ultra-low pressure pump start device, the matching electric water pump control cabinet should also have an ultra-low pressure pump start device, and the lower limits of the two pump starts should have a certain pressure difference.
