Before putting a new diesel generator set into operation, it is necessary to do some preparation work. Many users will not adjust the generator set after purchasing it, and some users will have the professional personnel from the factory to adjust it directly, while others will ask experienced workers to adjust it. In this way, a lot of human and material resources will be consumed. So let's take a look at how to adjust the machine after purchasing a diesel generator set.
First, check all parts of the generator set and carefully read the technical documents that come with it. Make all necessary preparations.
1. Water tank. The coolant in the radiator of the diesel generator set water tank must be sufficient. First, close the drain valve, add clean drinking water or purified water to the water tank opening position, cover the water tank cover, and operate within the allowable temperature range.
2. Engine oil. The lubricating oil of the diesel generator set must be in the designated position and not excessive. Keep operating within the allowable pressure range. The oil is divided into summer and winter types, and different types of oil are used in different seasons. In the process of adding oil, pay attention to the pointer scale, until the oil is added to the full position of the pointer scale, cover the oil cover.
3. Pump diesel. 1. Loosen the manual pump nut first, then hold the handle of the oil pump with your hand and apply even pressure until oil enters the oil pump.
2. Drain the air. First loosen the high-pressure oil pump, then press the oil pump with your hand to see oil and bubbles coming out of the screw hole. Continue until you see only oil coming out, then tighten the nut.
3. Identify the positive and negative terminals of the diesel generator set. Identify the positive and negative terminals of the starter and the batteries, and the two batteries must be connected in series to reach 24V. First connect the positive terminal of the starter, connect the positive terminal without allowing the terminal to touch any other wiring, then connect the negative terminal of the starter, and make sure it is tightened securely.
4. Instruments. The current meter on the diesel generator set can accurately read the current during operation, the voltage meter is used to detect the output voltage, the frequency meter is used to display the frequency during operation, which should reach 50HZ, the current and voltage conversion switch detects the data of the motor instrument, the oil pressure gauge detects the oil liquid pressure of the diesel engine, and at maximum speed, it should not be lower than 0.2 times the atmospheric pressure, the speedometer should be 1500 revolutions per minute, and the water temperature gauge should not exceed 95 degrees during use, and the oil temperature cannot exceed 85 degrees.
5. The diesel generator set must be grounded. The foundation must be level, and the surface of the unit must be thoroughly cleaned. Check whether the base bolts, flywheel bolts, and other moving parts bolts are loose, and whether the mechanism is flexible and reliable.
8. Start the generator set. Turn on the power switch and start the generator set. Once it starts, release it. If the charging current meter turns to the positive direction or the charging voltage meter shows a charging voltage of ≥25V, it indicates that the charger is working normally. Adjust the generator set's speed to idle speed (500-700r/min), run it for 30 seconds without load, and observe whether there are any unusual noisy sounds or other abnormal phenomena. Move the high-low speed switch, and the generator set's speed will gradually increase from low to high. Check all the instrument readings, and all normal indications are displayed. Then, close the air switch, and the power supply is complete.
9. Stop the generator set. First, close the air switch and disconnect the power supply. Move the high-low speed switch, and the generator set's speed will gradually decrease from high to low. Let the machine run for 3 to 5 minutes without load, then turn it off.

The above is the step-by-step generator set commissioning process. If you have any questions or technical requirements, you can consult our technical or customer service personnel.
