Installation Requirements For The Air Intake And Exhaust Cooling System Of Diesel Generator Sets.

Oct 22, 2024

First, check whether the design and installation of the air intake and exhaust system of the diesel generator set are reasonable and correct, which plays a vital role in the service life and performance of the engine. We require users to meet the following conditions during the installation process and when designing the machine room:
1. The air inlet and exhaust outlet of the machine room used by the diesel generator set must be unobstructed so that the maximum temperature of the engine does not exceed the requirements of the technical performance regulations;
2. An exhaust duct should be installed at the water tank end of the engine so that its exhaust outlet should be 1.2 times to 1.5 times larger than the effective area of the water tank;
3. The exhaust duct opening should be protected to prevent damage to the radiator water tank, and winter insulation measures should be installed if conditions permit;
4. The air inlet should have sufficient air flow and be in the same direction as the air outlet. There should also be rain and rodent prevention measures at the entrance;
5. The air in and out of the machine room must be unobstructed, the room should be bright, and there should be maintenance space around the unit;
6. For diesel generator sets with cooling water tanks, users should frequently check whether there is dust and oil on the radiator fins of the water tank during use to avoid poor cooling effect;
7. Clean the water tank once a year or after 400-500 hours of continuous operation. For places with poor environment, corresponding protective measures should be added. Frequently check and clean the water tank and intercooler for oil stains or dust, and replenish the coolant and add preservatives to remove rust.
