1. Preheating
For diesel generator sets equipped with preheaters, before starting, personnel can decide whether to preheat the unit according to the ambient temperature. The control panel with a preheating button can control the engine to start heating to achieve the purpose of preheating.
2. Power on
Turn the control panel key switch from OFF to ON, and observe that the instrument background light on the panel is on, indicating that the control panel has been powered on, the unit fuel is in the open state, and the controller with an electronic speed controller or an electronic injection type unit is also in working state.
3. Start
Some diesel generator set control panels have an idle/full-speed conversion switch. Users can choose whether to start at idle or at full speed at one time according to actual needs. Usually, the idling time should not exceed 5 minutes, and the unit should not be operated at idle for a long time.
Press the start button for a maximum duration of no more than 30 seconds. The engine starts to start under the drive of the starter motor. Once the start is successful, the start button can be released and the unit enters the running state.
Recommendation: To extend the service life of the starting battery and the starting motor, the time for starting the unit should be controlled within 5-10 seconds. If the start-up fails once, you can pause for a corresponding period and then start the second time.
