If the newly installed diesel self-priming pump has insufficient suction, the possible reasons are:
1. The inlet pipe leaks;
2. During the installation process, the inlet pipe is enlarged and the pipe is too long, which will also make the self-priming centrifugal pump have insufficient suction;
3. It may be that the user who just bought the self-priming pump forgot to fill the pump with water when using it for the first time;
4. It may be that the diesel self-priming pump motor is reversed.
During the investigation, it can be found that it is difficult to measure the leakage of the inlet pipe. If a steel pipe is used, it is recommended to perform a negative pressure test after welding before installation.
Some users cannot suck up water when using a diesel self-priming pump. They think that the inlet of the self-priming pump should be removed and their hands should be placed on the inlet to feel whether there is suction. This method is very dangerous and is not recommended. At this time, if there is no suction, it will be considered that there is a problem with the self-priming pump itself, which is one-sided. First of all, you should know that the self-priming pump is not like a vacuum pump and a vacuum cleaner, which has a fast suction speed. The self-priming pump sucks out the air in the pipe and produces negative pressure before it can suck out the liquid. If you remove the inlet pipe, it means that the self-priming pump is connected to the atmosphere. You will definitely not feel the suction if you touch it with your hand. The stainless steel self-priming pump is already sucking air at this time and cannot produce negative pressure, so you cannot feel the suction. In this case, it is recommended to use a diesel self-priming pump. The maximum suction range of a mobile diesel self-priming pump is 7.6 meters.

The reason for the insufficient suction of the self-priming pump is the wear of parts; the decrease in motor capacity makes the speed lower; the aging of the coil winding reduces the speed (the speed is less than 2800 rpm, the suction is not enough, and the motor will heat up).
