As an emergency backup power source, a diesel generator set has good reliability and timeliness. However, its installation and use are not very easy, especially the installation of the air intake and exhaust system of the diesel generator set.
1. The air intake and outlet of the diesel generator set must be unobstructed so that the maximum temperature of the engine does not exceed the value specified by the engine's technical performance.
2. An exhaust duct should be installed at the end of the engine water tank, and its exhaust duct should be 1.2-1.5 times larger than the effective area of the water tank.
3. The larger exhaust duct of the diesel generator set should be protected to prevent damage to the radiator water tank, and winter insulation measures should be installed if conditions permit.
4. The air inlet should have sufficient airflow and be in the same direction as the airflow of the air outlet, and there should also be rain and insect prevention measures at the inlet.
5. The air inlet and outlet of the generator room must be unobstructed, the room should be bright, and there should be maintenance space around the unit.
6. For generator sets with cooling water tanks, users should frequently check whether there is dust and oil on the radiator fins of the water tank during use to avoid poor cooling effects.
7. The water tank should be cleaned once a year or after 400-500 hours of continuous operation. For places with poor environments, corresponding protective measures should be added. The water tank and intercooler should be checked and cleaned regularly for oil stains or dust, and the coolant should be replenished and preservatives should be added to remove rust.
In addition, the diesel generator set must be maintained regularly, and the diesel filter and oil filter of the generator set must be replaced or cleaned to ensure that the output power of the generator set meets the predetermined requirements.
