The pistons and combustion chambers are cleaner, and there are less accumulations on the lubricating oil circuits and filters, which can reduce the wear of the diesel generator's spare parts and prolong power generation. Extend the service life of the unit and save fuel.
Inferior lubricating oil will damage the components of the generator set and cause hidden and continuous damage to the unit. When the diesel generator set is in a static state for a long time, the lubricating oil will undergo complex chemical and physical changes with various materials of the unit, and the lubrication effect of the engine oil will be greatly affected. Therefore, the selection and replacement of diesel generator oil need to be taken seriously.
Generator lubricating oil must be clean to prevent water from entering the oil. When changing to a different brand of engine oil, the lubrication system should be cleaned before adding new engine oil. Different brands of engine oil cannot be mixed.
When selecting lubricating oil for the generator set, choose lubricating oil with appropriate viscosity. The performance grade of lubricating oil represents the level of engine oil additives. The main protective effect in lubricating oil is additives, which will gradually be consumed over time. Only by selecting engine oil of sufficient grade can the lubricating effect of the engine oil be guaranteed.
During the operation of the generator set, the lubricating oil will be contaminated and the additives will be gradually consumed. Timely replacement of generator lubricating oil and replacement of wearing parts such as filters can ensure the continuous operation of the generator set and extend the service life of the generator set.
