Seven Requirements For Diesel Engine Fire Pump Maintenance.

1. Diesel engine fire pumps require preventive maintenance, which is the easiest and most economical maintenance, and is therefore the key to extending service life and reducing use costs. Daily maintenance can be carried out according to the following steps to check the fuel level in the fuel tank, observe the oil level in the fuel tank, and add as needed.

2. Check the oil level in the oil pan: observe whether the oil level reaches the mark on the oil dipstick. If it is insufficient, add the specified amount, but it cannot exceed the upper limit of the scale mark.

3. Check the oil level of the injection pump governor: If it does not reach the specified mark, add enough oil (some injection pump governors do not have a scale, so this step can be omitted).

4. Check whether there is sufficient lubricating grease in the oil filling point of the water pump: remove the oil filling nozzle on the diesel engine circulating water pump, and observe whether the lubricating grease inside is sufficient. If not, use an oil gun to inject sufficient lubricating grease into it.

5. Check whether there is enough water in the water tank: If the water in the water tank is insufficient, it should be replenished in time. The added water should be clean fresh water, such as tap water or clean river water. If groundwater is used directly, it is easy to form scale in the water tank, affecting the cooling effect and causing failure. Therefore, groundwater can only be used after it is softened.

6. Check the injection pump transmission connection plate: Check whether the connection screws are loose. If loose, the injection advance angle should be recalibrated and the connection screws should be tightened.

7. Clean the appearance of the diesel engine and auxiliary equipment: Use a dry cloth or a rag soaked in diesel to wipe off the oil stains, water and dust on the surface of the fuselage, turbocharger, cylinder head cover, air filter, etc.; wipe or use compressed air to blow off the dust on the surface of the charging generator, radiator, fan, etc.
