The water supply pressurizing station is an effective measure to alleviate the shortage of urban water supply pressure. Its core is to upgrade the pumping station, and the core of the pumping station is the water pump. The choice of water pump not only affects whether the water supply pressurization station can work normally, but the reasonable selection is also directly related to the operating cost of the pump station.
Common domestic water supply pressurization stations usually use centrifugal pumps. Centrifugal pumps have the advantages of simple structure, pulsation-free infusion, and simple flow adjustment. According to the actual situation of the project, first select the type of centrifugal pump and make the following considerations.
1. Decide which characteristic pump to choose based on the characteristics of the medium. Such as clean water pumps, corrosion-resistant pumps, or chemical process pumps and impurity pumps, etc. When the medium is highly toxic, precious or radioactive and other substances that are not allowed to leak, you should consider choosing a non-leakage pump (such as a canned pump, a magnetic pump, etc.) or a double-end mechanical seal with a leakage collection and leakage alarm device. If the medium is volatile liquids such as liquefied hydrocarbons, low NPSH pumps, such as cylindrical pumps, should be used.
2. Select horizontal pumps or vertical pumps (including submersible pumps and pipeline pumps) according to on-site installation conditions.
3. Choose a single-suction pump, a double-suction pump, or a small-flow centrifugal pump according to the flow rate.
4. Select a single-stage pump, a multi-stage pump, or a high-speed centrifugal pump according to the lift.
After the above items are determined, the appropriate pump series can be selected based on the characteristics of different series of pumps in various types of pumps and the conditions of the manufacturer. After the type, series and material of the pump are selected, the pump model is determined based on the samples and relevant parameters provided by the water pump manufacturer.
