When parking at low temperatures outdoors in winter, be careful to drain water (or add antifreeze) to prevent the cylinder from freezing and cracking; the vehicle must maintain the specified temperature during operation, and cooling water is indispensable to prevent the engine from being overcooled or overheated; the engine oil level should be checked before starting, and the amount of engine oil must be Reach the specified scale on the oil dipstick, and add or replace it if necessary; engine maintenance must strictly abide by operating procedures to avoid undue man-made damage.
When the flatness error of the cylinder plane exceeds the limit, the cylinder gasket will not be pressed tightly, causing water leakage, air leakage, oil leakage and ablation.
Dial indicator can be used for secondary maintenance: support the cylinder on the platform so that the plane of the cylinder is parallel to the platform, that is, find two pairs of equal height points on the four corners diagonally. Move the dial indicator frame along the platform, and the difference between the maximum and minimum dial indicator readings in the tested plane is the flatness. You can also use a flat ruler to place it on the plane to be inspected, and use a feeler gauge to insert the gap between the two planes to check. The maximum value of the feeler gauge inserted into the gap is the flatness. The technical requirements are: the flatness error of the plane on the cylinder block should not be less than 0.05mm for every 50mm length. The total length of a six-cylinder engine with a cast iron cylinder block shall not exceed 0.30mm, and a four-cylinder engine shall not exceed 0.20mm; an engine with an aluminum alloy cylinder block shall not exceed 0.50mm, and a four-cylinder engine shall not exceed 0.30mm.
If the flatness error of the cylinder plane exceeds the limit, it must be repaired. If it is a local bulge, it can be smoothed with a whetstone or a fine file; a slightly larger depression can be repaired by grinding or milling, but the machining allowance should not be too large, otherwise the compression ratio will increase and cause a burst.
