Diesel generator sets are composed of different types of diesel engines, generator control panels and other main components. Each major machine part has its own maintenance requirements. In order to ensure that the unit is properly maintained, each machine part should be regularly maintained according to its respective use and maintenance instructions.
The diesel generator set should be maintained once a week during regular operation or short-term parking. The maintenance items are as follows:
1) Clean all parts of the unit and wipe off dust and grease on each part;
2) Check the connection of electrical components and wires to eliminate the disadvantages of poor contact or possible short circuit;
3) Check the unit, whether the mechanical connecting parts are firm and reliable, and whether the lubrication is good.
The general maintenance of diesel generator sets is as follows:
1) The motor must not get wet and must be placed in a dry place when stored;
2) Whether during storage or operation, water droplets, metal and other debris must be prevented from entering;
3) When the generator is running, attention should be paid to the cooling condition, and the voltage and current should not exceed the rated values;
4) During operation, no sparks larger than 1.5 mm should be seen on the collector ring, and the temperature of the collector ring should not exceed 80°C;
5) If there is any abnormal noise, stop the vehicle immediately to check and eliminate it;
6) Do not use the motor in places with water vapor or dust;
7) After the bearing has been working for 3000 hours, it is necessary to add grease. No. 3 complex calcium-based grease. The amount of grease should account for half of the oil storage room. The grease should be clean. The bearing temperature should not exceed 95°C;
8) Check whether the components of the excitation device are broken or loose.
