The engine oil mainly plays the role of cooling, sealing, cleaning, and lubrication in a diesel generator set. It is recommended that the engine oil should be changed after a period of use. If the engine oil is not changed in time, it will cause the following damage to the unit:
1. Failure to change the engine oil in time will cause the oil pressure in the diesel generator set to increase. If the engine oil is not changed in time, the viscosity of the engine oil will increase, the fluidity will decrease, and the oil circuit will be blocked, resulting in increased oil pressure. The increased oil pressure will reduce the effect of the fuel filter, and carbon deposits in the cylinder, and shorten the engine's life.
2. It will cause too much sludge. The incompletely burned gas in the combustion chamber enters the fuel tank with water, acid, etc., and mixes with metal powder to form sludge. Failure to change the engine oil in time will only cause the sludge to accumulate, blockingblock the oil holes and fi andters, aggravating the wear of parts.
3. The engine oil pressure will be too low. If the engine oil is not replaced regularly, the oil volume will be reduced, the oil cleanliness will be poor, or the oil will be too thin, which will cause the oil pressure to drop, and the low oil pressure will cause dry friction between parts, and in severe cases, it will cause the unit to burn.
4. It will accelerate the wear of various parts of the diesel generator set. If the engine oil is not replaced in time, the performance of the engine oil will deteriorate, which will cause wear of parts such as cylinders and pistons, and repairing and replacing parts will reduce the working efficiency of the unit and affect the normal operation of the unit.
