If The Water Temperature Of The Diesel Generator Set Is Too Low, It Will Cause Harm To The Unit.

Mar 28, 2024

If the water temperature of the diesel generator set is too high, it will cause serious harm to the unit. Therefore, when using it, special attention needs to be paid to the heat dissipation and cooling of the unit, but the lower the water temperature is not, the better. The water temperature requirements for diesel generator sets are clearly stipulated. The ambient temperature for normal use of the diesel generator set itself should not exceed 50°C. The temperature of the cooling water should be between 75 and 90°C, and the maximum cannot exceed 95°C.

The hazards of low water temperature in diesel generator sets:
1. When the water temperature in the diesel generator set is too low, the diesel combustion conditions in the cylinder are not good, the fuel atomization is poor, and the post-ignition combustion period is increased, which aggravates the damage to crankshaft bearings, piston rings and other components, resulting in a decrease in the power of the unit. Reduced economy.
2. The water vapor after combustion is easy to condense on the cylinder wall, causing metal corrosion.
3. Burning diesel may dilute the engine oil and worsen the lubrication condition.
4. If the fuel does not burn repeatedly, it is easy to form colloid, causing the piston ring to get stuck in the piston ring groove.
5. When the water temperature of the diesel generator set is too low, the oil temperature will also be low, the oil will become thicker, the fluidity will become poor, and the oil pump will have less oil, resulting in insufficient oil supply to the generator set. In addition, the crankshaft bearing clearance will become smaller and the lubrication will be poor.

Diesel Fire Fighting Water Pump

When operating a diesel generator set in different seasons, attention should be paid to maintaining a certain temperature range of the coolant. In winter, the temperature is low, the ambient temperature of the diesel generator is also low, and the temperature of the coolant will also be very low.
When the ambient temperature is low, the coolant temperature of the diesel generator will rise more slowly. When the diesel engine exerts its maximum effective power, the coolant temperature should be around 80°C.
When the temperature is high in summer, the coolant temperature of the diesel generator rises very quickly in such high temperature seasons. The diesel engine is prone to cylinder accidents when the water temperature is 100°C. Therefore, the diesel generator should stop working or reduce the load when the coolant exceeds about 95°C.
